Hmm.
The Philadelphia Eagles were in discussions with the Green Bay Packers to trade up from No. 32 overall to the No. 23 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Ultimately, a deal did not happen.
The Packers stuck at No. 23 and selected Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden.
It’s not yet clear who the Eagles were targeting but it’s safe to say they weren’t intending on trading up to select Golden.
We’ll soon see if the Eagles end up trading up to another spot instead. The Minnesota Vikings are a logical trade partner since they entered the 2025 NFL Draft with just four selections. And the Eagles entered the 2025 NFL Draft with eight selections this year and likely nine in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Let’s see what Howie Roseman has up his sleeve! Should be interesting …
10:50 PM UPDATE — The Minnesota Vikings are taking Ohio State offensive lineman Donovan Jackson at No. 24 but the Eagles apparently aren’t done trying to move up.
#Eagles GM Howie Roseman is working the phones, trying to trade up. With several top players still available…
