The Los Angeles Rams have the draft ahead, and have options outside of the draft as well
Tremayne Anchrum Jr. was recently released by the Houston Texans, and during NFL Draft week that may not catch a lot of notice, but I’d guess the Los Angeles Rams are paying attention. Anchrum was on L.A.’s Super Bowl winning team a few years ago, and if he’s a free agent why wouldn’t the Rams do their due diligence on potentially bringing the guard back into the fold?

Anchrum, to this point, hasn’t been a top offensive lineman in the NFL, but after being selected by the Rams in 2020, he’s gone on to join the Seattle Seahawks, the New Orleans Saints and most recently Houston.
Anchrum is a serviceable offensive lineman at the NFL level, and sometimes serviceable is all a team needs.
You can never have enough offensive lineman ready to roll on one NFL team. No, the position doesn’t get the fantasy football attention the other offensive positions get, but anyone who watches football week in and week out knows that the O-line has as much to do with a successful offense as any of the other position groups.
The Rams have three linemen in the top 20 for pass-blocking grades during the preseason, according to @PFF. Tremayne Anchrum Jr., Steve Avila, and Grant Miller have not allowed a single pressure in two preseason games. @Stevelavila @TremayneAnchrum @grantmiller55 pic.twitter.com/Ciqe00BDU1

If the Rams aren’t able to fill some of their holes in the draft, or if they leave the draft having questions about their group of O-lineman, then Anchrum may be worth a look. He could be affordable, he has experience with the team, and in a pinch, he might be able to spot-start or even come in for a series if another player is hurt or needs a break.
Anchrum offers value, and if Les Snead and Sean McVay saw that value before, who’s to say they don’t see him as valuable again?
