West Virginia’s Wyatt Milum has strong hands and an edge to him.
The Cincinnati Bengals need to find answers (plural) at guard.
So they will naturally need to keep their options open.
One of those options could be Wyatt Milum, a 6’ 6”, 314 tackle out of West Virginia.
The Bengals held a private workout for him recently.
Here’s a player to watch on Friday.
West Virginia offensive lineman Wyatt Milum had 30 visits or private workouts with the Steelers, Bengals, Commanders, Saints and Eagles.

But while he “flashes strong hands and a competitive edge in the run game”, Milum never actually played guard at West Virginia.
So why could he end up on the Bengals?
Well, during his pre-Draft conference, Duke Tobin made it clear that he is open to taking a tackle who could move to guard.
“If you’re a backup, [versatility is] paramount on the offensive line,” Tobin said. “You have to, as a backup, be able to cover two spots, whether it’s tackle or guard or whether it’s guard and center or whether it’s both sides… [W]e cross-train all of our offensive linemen in some other position other than their natural spot.”
And so Milum, who is good against power rushes, twists, and setting up to stop pass rushers in their tracks, could be a great upgrade for Joe Burrow and the Bengals’ pass game. Plus, he should be available in the middle rounds.

Of course, the Bengals are sort of backed in a corner and will be forced to come away with at least one starting-caliber guard and defensive lineman, as we say in the short video below.
We’ll see what they have up their sleeves when the NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow.
