The Detroit Lions locker room has gone under massive upgrades for the 2025 season, and we got our first sneak peek.
On Monday afternoon, the Detroit Lions shared a video of the massive upgrades made to their locker room at the team’s facility in Allen Park. The video shows Honolulu Blue lights illuminating the floor from underneath each locker, and an all-black theme to the room. Padded chairs adorn each individual locker, while it appears players will also have a cubby with a keypad lock on it, as well.

If you haven’t been inside the Lions locker room before, it’s obviously hard to gauge how much of an upgrade this is. But I can tell you, as someone who has spent day after day after day in that room, the change is nothing short of massive. This video of some interviews inside the locker room give a small glimpse as to what the room looked like.
You may remember in the NFL Players Association’s report card this year, the Lions received some criticism for their outdated locker rooms. Their locker room received a C+—ranking 18th in the NFL—and the NFLPA highlighted the locker room as one of two primary upgrades the team needed.
“Players identified two areas for improvement: updating outdated lockers and further enhancing the food program, which has improved significantly in recent years,” the NFLPA report card read.
Earlier this month, Lions president and CEO Rod Wood noted that these upgrades were coming—along with some other improvements to the facility.
“You guys will see when you come in, we’re doing a lot of renovation to Allen Park again this year,” Wood said. “A brand new locker room for the players, expanding the weight room, all new weight equipment.”
Many Lions player arrive at Allen Park this week, as the start of voluntary offseason workouts begin on Tuesday, April 22.
