Philadelphia has secured another important member of their Super Bowl winning core for several more years.

With just a few days until the 2025 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed starting center Cam Jurgens to a four-year contract extension through 2029 worth $68 million, including nearly $40 million guaranteed.

Jurgens is now the second-highest paid player at his position on an annual basis. His $17 million per year ranks only behind Creed Humphrey’s annual value of $18 million.

This development is a move that was widely expected coming off the Super Bowl winning season; Jurgens proved that he was ready to take over at the pivot. The 25-year-old played well, earning his first career Pro Bowl honors. Jurgens also displayed commendable resilience as he fought through back pain in the playoffs. His injury required offseason surgery which is expected to have him fully recovered by July.

Jurgens had big shoes to fill coming in for future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce, but he made the position his own and formed a good rapport with Jalen Hurts. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman always prioritizes the guys up front, and Jurgens now joins Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, and Lane Johnson as long-term fixtures on the offensive line.

Aside from the right guard position and tight end, the rest of the Super Bowl winning Eagles offense is now locked in for several years. The group filled with Pro Bowl and All-Pro players will now try and run it back in 2025 (and several years after).
