Take over the board and show off your mock draft
Happy Easter to all!
Last year, Turf Show Times asked the forum community to show their Los Angeles Rams mock draft. It turned out to be a bit of Sunday fun. With that in mind, let’s try it again The rules are simple:
- Go to the NFL Mock Draft Database simulator
- Select the Rams logo as the team you are drafting for
- The year is 2025
- Select 7 rounds
- Choose pre-draft as your draft order
- Decide how fast you want to go
- Trade status doesn’t matter. Why? Because for this exercise we won’t include trades.
- Enter the draft room, start and select away
The no-trade clause will give us a simple base to see who Rams fans are liking. Eight picks, shoot your best shot. It’s also easier to aggregate the candidates into a final encompassing mock draft. But that said, do what you want. I’m not interested in being an Easter referee/baby sitter. Just Looking for a little holiday fun.
I’ll go ahead and kick things off. The numbers in parentheses are where the prospect falls on my board.
#26 CB Trey Amos- Ole Miss (35)
There were plenty of good possibilities for the first pick, all over the field, but I like Trey Amos and didn’t feel it was that much of a stretch.
#90 TE Terrance Ferguson- Oregon (91)
Tall, long and fast. Lined up all over the field in top college offense with reads/options. Receiver first, but that’s what the Rams have drafted in the past.
#101 T Ozzy Trapilo- Boston College (76)
Heir apparent to Rob Havenstein? Good player that only needs minor hands work and bit more mass, Working the offseason with OL coaching legend Dante Scarnecchia
#127 ILB Chris Paul- Ole Miss (101)
Although a touch on the small side, he’s a great tackler with superb football instincts. Can cover, blitz and add special teams upside as well.
#190 S RJ Mickens- Clemson (191)
Long, fast and athletic with plenty of zone pass coverage in his background. Another good tackler, who moves well enough to work out of slot.
#195 RB Trevor Etienne- Georgia (121)
Stellar change-of-pace back. Fits the Rams mold of smaller, tough inside runners, but adds wiggle in space. Receiving weapon with great hands and a solid blocker.
#201 DT Cam Jackson- Florida (151)
Run stopper with plus size traits. Slots in nicely to backup and learn from Poona Ford. If he keeps his pads down, he can be immoveable.
#202 WR Andrew Armstrong- Arkansas (252)
Under the radar. Big, long, and athletic. Moves fluidly laterally and in change of direction. Finds soft spots in zones and very strong on contested catches.
That’s mine, now show us what you’ve got.
