Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 4/18/25
The Los Angeles Rams honored the L.A. firefighters during the season as the brave workers tried to quell hostile fires that ravaged the area, and it looks like the Rams will be honoring them again during the draft. This is a such a cool gesture and it’s a nice feel-good story when there are plenty of stories that aren’t so feel-good.
It’s Friday, please comment on whatever you want, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great day!
Rams to honor LA firefighters by drafting from fire station (fieldlevelmedia.com)
“When the draft begins next Thursday in Green Bay, head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead will be camped out in a room turned temporary office at LAFD Air Operations. Coaches, scouts, other Rams personnel and the media will occupy part of an adjacent hangar as the Rams make their selections, including their first-round pick — No. 26 overall.
The work of LAFD Air Operations will continue as usual.
McVay and Snead appeared in a Hollywood-style video released by the team Thursday that showed them stepping off a helicopter at the air operations center with a caption, “Los Angeles, we’re on the clock.”

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Los Angeles Rams select safety (bleedinggreennation)
“They could use some cornerback depth, as all playoffs teams do, behind Ahkello Witherspoon and Darious Williams. Maxwell Hairston and Trey Amos were both considered for this pick, as was OG Tyler Booker and DT Derrick Harmon.
But in truth, the Rams have the luxury of drafting for the future, and they need a tone-setter on D. Let’s go with the player with the instincts and ball skills of a CB but also the size and presence of a sub linebacker.
Nick Emmanwori is the pick.”

2025 NFL Draft: Eight potential trades that could rock Round 1 (nfl.com)
“I’d love to see the Los Angeles Rams trade up to get a premier player at the tight end position. Specifically, I’m thinking Tyler Warren. L.A. currently owns eight selections, including No. 26 overall, but without a second-round pick, the team might have to give up a future first-rounder in order to move up the board and land the Penn State tight end. Les Snead has given up high draft picks in the past — remember the ”F— them picks” philosophy? — so it doesn’t feel as if that would prevent the Rams from making a move that would add an exceptional player to an offense that’s looking to make the most of Matthew Stafford’s twilight years.”
