Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 4/15/25
I don’t know what the Los Angeles Rams should do in the upcoming NFL Draft because how can I? I am no expert, but also I don’t know what the board will look like, I don’t know which teams may be willing to trade and which ones won’t, plus we don’t even know which players are going to fall. We can speculate for fun! But me, knowing the best move right now? I can’t say that I do.
Maybe the right move will be to trade down, but moving up for a stud doesn’t sound like a bad idea either!
Oh, I just don’t know what to do. Good thing is I don’t have to know. It’s up to the Rams to figure it out.
Please let us know your thoughts and comments, talk about whatever you want, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Tuesday!
Why the Rams’ best draft plan is trading down from No. 26 (ramswire)
“The Rams currently do not have a second-round pick in this year’s draft and as a result, their first pick is a spot where many top-tier prospects will already be off the board. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin believes trading down from the back end of the first round could be an ideal move to gain additional assets and add depth to the roster.
The back end of the first round is always trade-down territory, but it makes sense here: Los Angeles doesn’t currently have a second-rounder, and general manager Les Snead has been a solid Day 2 evaluator.
General manager Les Snead has long been known for his ability to find value in the middle rounds of the draft. Over the years, his picks on Day 2 include names such as Cooper Kupp, Braden Fiske, Joseph Noteboom and Taylor Rapp. They all proved to be key contributors during their time in L.A. – despite Noteboom’s frequent injury and performance struggles. By moving back and adding more picks, the Rams could continue this trend and add several players who could immediately contribute to the team’s rebuilding efforts.”

Rams make blockbuster trade for star player in new mock draft (ramswire)
“It’s a crazy move that would give the Rams arguably the best defensive front in football. Hendrickson would join Braden Fiske, Kobie Turner and Poona Ford on the defensive line alongside edge rushers Jared Verse and Byron Young. Hendrickson led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024 a year after he also had 17.5 sacks.
But would three premium picks and long-term extension be worth it? Given the amount of players on rookie deals, it would be a good risk to take if the Rams want to be all-in in 2025. It would also keep the Rams’ contention window open for at least another season. However, it creates another scenario where the Rams would have to make some huge decisions on who to pay, keep or leave after 2026. And that’s before they’d even need to make a call on running back Kyren Williams.”

Rams 2025 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Analyst projections 10 days before the draft (rams.com)
“Campbell is widely considered one of the top inside linebacker prospects in this year’s draft thanks to his ideal blend of quickness and physicality. Recently, the Rams have not valued linebackers this high in the draft, but Campbell would add a dynamic presence against the run and pass to the middle of the Rams’ defense.
“A first-team All-SEC linebacker with hybrid skills as a pass rusher, Campbell put on a show in Indianapolis,” Filice wrote. “But a post-combine shoulder surgery has created uncertainty around his draft stock.
“The only problem with this projection? Well, Les Snead hasn’t spent a top-100 pick on a linebacker since back when the Rams were in St. Louis (Alec Ogletree, No. 30 overall, 2013). But Campbell could be a monster in Chris Shula’s defense, extending the fun youth movement up front to the second level. So, I say EFF THEM PICK TENDENCIES!!”
