Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 4/14/25
Eric Weddle went ahead and tweeted some high praise for the Los Angeles Rams re-signing Troy Reeder. You can read the tweet below, and a see a link to an article before that, but it seems like Weddle is happy for Reeder, and thinks he’s a good piece for the Rams to add.
Happy Monday, thank you so much for checking out Turf Show Times as we get closer to the NFL Draft!
Rams SB LVI legend Eric Weddle gives surprising endorsement for this FA signing (ramblinfan)
“When the Los Angeles Rams inked inside linebacker Troy Reeder for another season, the reception thrown by Rams fans was not exactly warm and positive. Some view Reeder as one of the key reasons for the Rams’ 1-4 start to the 2024 NFL season. Others see Reeder as an impediment to the opportunities of young linebackers like Omar Speights. Still others simply put plenty of vitriol on someone they do not appreciate on social media, for no other reason than to troll the guy.
But Rams Super Bowl LVI legend Eric Weddle is having none of it. He stepped into the discussion on social media to run interference for his former teammate, ILB Troy Reeder. And he was not the only NFL player to shut down the trash-talking about Reeder.”
Hes a baller. Many reasons why you stick around in league. On and off field.

Rams make blockbuster trade for star player in new mock draft (ramswire)
“The Rams have the No. 26 in the 2025 NFL Draft, but could use it as a bargaining chip to add a talented veteran at other areas in the roster like they’ve done in the past. And in this Sports Illustrated community draft, general manager Les Snead completes a blockbuster trade for disgruntled Cincinnati Bengals’ edge rusher Trey Hendrickson.
In the deal, Snead trades Nos. 26, 90 and a 2026 third-rounder to pull off the trade. Then, L.A. hands Hendrickson a long-term extension that is backloaded to capitalize on the team’s 2026 salary cap flexibility.”

Rams Would Be Affected By Potential Trade From Rival (si.com)
“The Saints should call up the 49ers and make a trade offer for Brock Purdy for a couple of reasons. One, the Saints desperately need a franchise quarterback. Derek Carr has a shoulder injury and could miss all of 2025, and he’s not that good. He’s 34, he’s kind of soft, but when he played last year, the Saints were 5-5. They were a viable team.
Without him, they didn’t win any games. So maybe they feel like they’re actually contenders in that awful NFC South with a good quarterback, which brings us back to Brock Purdy.”
