Potential Day 2 target for the Birds.

It’s time to add another prospect to BGN’s Philadelphia Eagles’ pre-draft visits tracker leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Birds hosted Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams at the NovaCare Complex, according to Aaron Wilson.

Williams is the No. 41 prospect ranked by Pro Football Focus.

The 22-year-old played for the Buckeyes from 2021-2024. Making 25 starts in 51 games, Williams logged 136 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

The Eagles could afford to draft a defensive tackle after losing Milton Williams in free agency. Jordan Davis is currently set to be a free agent after the 2025 season, though it’s possible the team will pick up his fifth-year option for 2026. If the Eagles don’t show faith in Davis, perhaps they’ll be looking to draft someone who can both contribute now and take on a bigger role in the middle of the defensive line moving forward.

Williams seems like an option for the Eagles if they end up trading down from No. 32 or up from No. 64.

Scouting report via NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein:

Drain-clogging run defender with violent first contact and nimble feet for impressive tackle production. Williams flashes an ability to play through or around the block. He physically dominates man-on-man matchups but inconsistent pad level and shorter arms hinder his double-team take-ons. He needs to focus on developing his hands to keep longer NFL guards from getting into him and neutralizing his power. Williams should pressure the pocket from time to time but might not win on his own enough to see many third-down reps. The knock-back pop and ability to eat up runners in his general vicinity could help him become an impactful, run-stuffing three-technique.
