The Seattle Seahawks are up next in our 2025 Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft—where you, the readers, get a chance to participate in the site’s biggest mock draft of the year.
Representing the Seahawks in our mock this year is detroitdude14. While the Seahawks haven’t seen a ton of success as of late, they have been drafting relatively well. It’ll be up to detroitdude14 to continue that forward momentum, which could be a challenge now that they’ve changed quarterbacks from Geno Smith to Sam Darnold.

Now, with the 18th pick in the Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected…
Tyler Booker, offensive lineman from Alabama.
Here’s detroitdude14 with the explanation for the pick:
“The main goal for Seattle is to protect Sam Darnold. OT is not a main need, though adding depth would be a good idea later in the draft. So focusing on OG is the next best thing. Tyler Booker is the best guard, with the size, strength, and power to stop the run and protect the interior pass rush. He may need to quicken up, but Mike Macdonald will help him out with that. Teaming him up with Charles Cross on the left would protect Sam Darnold’s blind side and give Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet a chance to break out more than they already have.
I know Macdonald is a defensive-minded coach, but because he is, he’ll know how to put the right player in place to protect his quarterback. And with Booker, it’s one less hole in what was a shoddy offensive line in 2024. With a strong lower half, he’s not going to buckle when a blitzing linebacker comes running his way while dealing with a nose tackle. And he’s smart too, knowing where to plug and protect whatever the protection is one less worry for Darnold, Walker, and Charbonnet. If you could compare him to any guard, current or former, John Simpson comes to mind, even Germain Ifedi is a great comparison. I could go on and on about how much of a great player Booker is, but we could be here for days and days. I mean, what else can you say about the best offensive guard in this year’s draft? Just a fine addition to a much needed offensive line.”
