With the 14th pick in the POD Community Mock Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select…
Our Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft rolls on. If you’re unfamiliar, this is the side-wide mock draft in which we let our commenters and community participate in a mock that will run for two full rounds and take us right up to the NFL Draft.
Thus far, we have 13 picks in, which means it’s time for the Indianapolis Colts to make their decision. Representing the Colts in our 2025 POD Community Mock is commenter GoLions!

With the 14th overall pick in the POD Community Mock Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select…
Kelvin Banks Jr., offensive lineman out of Texans.
Here’s GoLions! explaining the pick:
The Colts remain mired in NFL purgatory, resulting in NFL average records and matching advanced metrics. At most positions, they are deploying players who rank near the league average. Their highest paid players (Jonathan Taylor, Quinton Nelson, DeForest Buckner) are all past the average mean peak snap count for their positions. To make matters worse, the attempt at resolving their quarterback issue in the 2023 draft (Anthony Richardson) thus far appears to be on the wrong track. The Colts need high end performers to break from this rut. TE Tyler Warren and QB Shedeur Sanders were preeminent on my wish list entering this draft.
This draft decision converged to either LB Jihaad Campbell or OL Kelvin Banks Jr. Campbell would give the Colts a strong linebacking core alongside Zaire Franklin and potentially an elite level performer and defensive anchor at linebacker. However, the Colts offensive line is currently in tough shape. The loss of Will Fries and Ryan Kelly (both to the Vikings) has left two career journeymen on one-year deals in starting positions. Longtime right tackle Braden Smith, who has been a solid performer, is in the final year of his contract.
Given that backdrop, the Indianapolis Colts select …
OL Kelvin Banks Jr. from the University of Texas.
Banks has been a three-year starter at left tackle for the Longhorns, showing steady improvement year-on-year. Renowned for his athleticism and flexibility, Banks will be a day one starter at right guard for the Colts, moving to right tackle following this season. Banks’ high-end athletic traits are reminiscent of the elite tackles in football and provide the Colts a candidate to be a Pro Bowl performer at his position. This pick allows the Colts to lean on the run game as they figure out their quarterback position this season.
