2025 NFL mock draft with all trades: Deals for Round 1 picks – ESPN
Eagles get: 2-51, 2026 first-round pick … Broncos get: 1-32, 3-96 … The Eagles have been paid handsomely for their willingness to be patient in the past. They made a similar move with the Saints in 2022, adding draft capital while swapping the 16th pick for a future first-rounder. The Saints’ pick in 2023 was better than the one Philly shipped off, allowing the Eagles to move up from No. 10 to select Jalen Carter. Sean Payton has also been on the other side of this sort of move. In 2011, the then-Saints coach sent his second-round pick and a future first-rounder to the Patriots, drafting running back Mark Ingram late in the first round. Now, Payton’s Broncos need a running back to help out Bo Nix. If they don’t take a back at No. 20, they might want to grab him here to get ahead of the Browns, Raiders and Cowboys in Round 2, teams that have needs at the position. Organizations are more careful with their draft capital than they were at the time of the Ingram trade — I’m not sure any current GM would make that sort of trade for a player at any position, let alone a running back. But this would be a more modern version of this deal and relatively risk-free for the Eagles. In the worst-case scenario, the Broncos win the Super Bowl and the Eagles end up with the No. 32 pick again, while being paid a swap of 45 spots on Day 2 for their patience, thanks to the other part of this trade. And if Denver struggled in 2025, this could end up being a far more lucrative deal for Philadelphia.
NFL Draft Rankings 2025: Interior offensive line – BGN
The Eagles won the Super Bowl for a lot of reasons. It helped that the trinity of Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, and Mekhi Becton was one of the most formidable offensive interiors in the NFL. Having strong guard and center play has been a hallmark of the Eagles for … over a decade at this point. With Becton now on the Los Angele Chargers, the Eagles will have an open competition for his right guard spot. Tyler Steen and the newly added Kenyon Green will push for snaps, but it’s possible the Eagles draft another player to add to this mix. The funny thing about this guard and center class is that the best prospects played tackle in college. In terms of “true” guard and centers, this class is a bit thinner. But there are still interesting players!
Russell Wilson joins the division | NFC East Mixtape Vol. 163 | Blogging The Boys – BGN YouTube
A lot has happened in the NFC East over the course of the offseason and one of the most significant things involved a very special development for the NFC East Mixtape… Russell Wilson is now a member of the New York Giants. RJ Ochoa and Brandon Gowton sat down for a special edition of the Mixtape to discuss that and other big-time storylines that have developed as of late.
Tush push debate is a bad look for pro football – PFT
It all feels like a way to take something away from the NFL’s best team. While some opponents of the play might genuinely believe the reasons that have been given, the circumstances justify the very real perception that it’s less about doing the right thing and more about sour grapes. At a minimum, the debate gives the other 31 teams a way to explain away their failure to compete with the defending Super Bowl champions.
The Eagles’ awful 2020 season helped them win a Super Bowl – PhillyVoice
The moral of the story: If you’re going to have a bad season, you may as well be really, really bad. Oh, and if you’re going to gain some better assets as a result, maximize their value. The Sixers tanked for years and never got past the second round of the playoffs. The Eagles tanked for one game and they won the Super Bowl.
Nick Sirianni speaks: The Eagles head coach discusses the Tush Push, Dallas Goedert, the White House & more – PHLY
On an under-the-radar signing… The addition of special teams contributor Avery Williams did not draw many headlines. It resonated with Nick Sirianni. “Can’t say enough about Avery Williams and just what I think of him and things that he could do with him and what he’s going to bring to this football team,” Sirianni said. Williams has played cornerback and running back in the NFL, but he’s mostly been used on all phases of special teams. He has 151 offensive snaps, 122 defensive snaps, and 954 special teams snaps in a three-year career. Sirianni added that Williams can help on offense in additional to special teams. “My interactions with him have been top-notch,” Sirianni said.
NFL execs unfiltered on free agency: What’s the Giants’ QB plan? Thoughts on all NFC teams – The Athletic
Jason Kelce, Sweat, Fletcher Cox, Gardner-Johnson and Becton are counting $51 million against the 2025 cap, despite none remaining on the roster. Slay and James Bradberry, two other former Eagles, will count $20.9 million in 2026. As long as the Eagles’ roster remains strong, and as long as the team drafts well, these future burdens will not impede success.“They are just forging ahead, and they have the draft capital to do it, and obviously the skins on the wall,” another exec said. Philly made some interesting low-cost bets this offseason, adding Josh Uche and Azeez Ojulari to their pass rush, Kenyon Green to their offensive line and A.J. Dillon to their offensive backfield. They struck gold last offseason when they signed Baun to a cheap one-year deal. Is one of these guys next? “It could be Uche because he will be the replacement for Sweat,” an exec said. “Those guys get $17-20 million even if they are just OK. For Uche, it’s all about fit. If they just let him rush the passer, that is what he does best.”
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Fans’ favorite picks, including Ashton Jeanty to the Raiders – PFF
32. Philadelphia Eagles: T Josh Simmons, Ohio State. The Eagles are the second team in this exercise to not get one of their top choices. Simmons is the pick as the best player available on PFF’s big board. Is this a need? Absolutely not, but the Eagles are known for taking the best player available. Simmons is coming off a season-ending injury in 2024, but Philadelphia’s stacked roster provides the luxury of picking someone who doesn’t need to start day one.
The one thing about the Super Bowl that left Jeff Lurie speechless – NBCSP
But he never experienced anything like what happened on Feb. 14. The parade. And when he met with the media at the owners meetings in Palm Beach on Tuesday, he explained why. “I am really almost never completely speechless, but … it’s incredible when you win,” Lurie said. “It’s incredible when you’re up on the stage (after winning a Super Bowl). We all know how hard it is. It’s very, very difficult. But the parade in Philadelphia, there are no words for this. Honestly. There are no words when you are up there and looking at a million, 2 million people screaming for four hours straight along Broad Street and then going up to the art museum.
Matt Pryor calls his return to Eagles a ‘full circle’ moment – PE.com
Since his time in Philadelphia and Indianapolis, the versatile lineman played for the 49ers in 2023 and most recently the Bears in 2024. “It’s great to be back, kind of made it full circle,” Pryor said after putting pen to paper. “Obviously, free agency is a little stressful for everybody. Don’t know which way you’re going to go or if you’re even going to go anywhere. But everything works out how it’s supposed to and God-willing, I ended up back over here.”
Eagles GM Howie Roseman’s other unrelenting obsession: The perfect meal – Inquirer
During his dining exploits, Roseman started noticing something else about the restaurant business, too. There’s a lot of overlap between his line of work — running a professional football franchise where the standard is Super Bowls — and running a high-profile restaurant that’s constantly in demand and the talk of the town. One, you need a good team of people around you that can carry out your vision and strategy and build up. “The most important thing that I do is hire people,” Roseman said. “That’s the biggest gift that I’ve given is that I’m able to hire people on and off the field. And I take that job really seriously, and at the same time empowering them, but also having a philosophy and a vision so that it’s not getting away from that. … I think if there’s a vision in how you want to do something, you can keep alignment throughout.” The second big parallel that Roseman pointed out between being an NFL GM and a James Beard-worthy head chef: finding the right balance between being hands-on and hands-off.
Commanders sign a defensive lineman via the International Player Pathway program – Hogs Haven
According to Wikipedia, TJ Maguranyanga is a Zimbabwean professional rugby player for ASM Clermont Auvergne. In December 2024, Maguranyanga became an NFL player, being selected for the league’s International Player Pathway (IPP) program.
BREAKING: Cowboys send 5th-round pick to Patriots for QB Joe Milton and 7th-round pick – Blogging The Boys
This is a fantastic trade for the Cowboys as Milton’s athleticism is a lottery ticket of sorts. He has enough potential playmaking abilities to be intrigued by and that could (in the best case scenario) be the flash in the pan you need in a pinch if Dak Prescott has to miss time, and to be fair Prescott has missed some time in four of the last five seasons now (he did not in 2023). This is the exact kind of trade that the Trey Lance one should have been when the Cowboys pulled it off. Unlike with Lance though, the Cowboys still maintain several years of team control over Milton what with him only being on the second year of his rookie contract. It is brilliant and addresses a position of need before the draft even arrives.
New York Giants draft rumors: Schefter — ‘feels’ like Browns and Giants will pass on Shedeur Sanders – Big Blue View
NFL insider Adam Schefter said on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ that it “feels” like both the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants will pass on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders with the second and third picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Stock up, stock down for NFL Draft prospects based on what we know so far – SB Nation
Colston Loveland, TE — Michigan. It’s always been tricky to project where tight ends will go in the NFL Draft because of how differently teams view the position. This year there are two really, really good players on offer Ty Warren is still the clubhouse leader and will likely be picked in the Top 10, but Michigan’s Colston Loveland has had a massive rise in recent weeks and now could be picked in the early teens, or even higher. Loveland’s performance at the combine cemented him as a potentially elite pass catcher at the position, and with some coaching could become a high-end blocker as well. He’s garnering some Sam LaPorta comps, and LaPorta was a mammoth riser in the draft as well.
