Would the Rams take receiver Isaiah Bond in the first round?
You probably have not seen receiver Isaiah Bond’s name in many first round mock drafts, but Chad Reuter thinks he would be the perfect complement in the L.A. Rams offense next season. In a “first two picks for every team” mock draft for NFL.com, Reuter has the Rams selecting Bond out of Texas at pick 26, then goes on defense for linebacker Danny Stutsman at pick 90.
Would this Red River Shootout work in SoFi Stadium?
Davante Adams signed with the Rams as a free agent and Tutu Atwell returned on a one-year deal, but adding Bond to a receiver room that already featured Puka Nacua takes the offense to another level. He could become a deep ball-after the catch threat, like former Texas receiver Xavier Worthy was for the Chiefs as a rookie last season. Los Angeles traded its 2025 second-round choice to Carolina last year to move up for Braden Fiske, so as things stand now, the team’s next pick won’t come until deep into Round 3 — but the Rams would surely love to find an instinctual and tough leader in the linebacker corps like Stutsman there.
Bond is 5’11, 180 lbs and he actually had a terrible production score at NFL.com, ranking just 33rd among all wide receivers at the combine. His athleticism score was 21st, but he only ran the 40-yard dash and that number was 4.39 with a 1.51 10-yard split, so Bond should be a burner.

A former Alabama receiver who transferred to Texas in 2024, Bond only had 540 yards last season and he suffered a high ankle sprain in the SEC Championship game.
But Lance Zierlein compares him to Jaylen Waddle as a receiver.
Stutsman’s career was the polar opposite of Bond’s as he is a three-year plus starter at Oklahoma who was on the All-American roster in each of the past two seasons. He could potentially step in and start right away in L.A.’s offense at inside linebacker given the Rams lack of quality starters at the position.
A receiver and a linebacker? Maybe. But do these two fit the bill?
