Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 4/1/25
The Los Angeles Rams have plenty of factors to think about and decisions to make as the NFL Draft approaches, and one such decision is to consider adding cornerback Benjamin Morrison. The link below goes into more detail than I am, but I think it’s interesting.
Drafting/adding a new corner could really help the defense.

Rams take injured CB in new LA Times mock draft (theramswire)
“With a month left before the 2025 NFL Draft, there will be a lot of different players connected to different teams.
The Los Angeles Rams don’t have any glaring needs, so their No. 26 pick could be anything. Being this late in the first round opens up the team to movement, taking a quarterback or just grabbing the best player available.
For the Los Angeles Times’ Sam Farmer, he went in the direction with his mock draft that most pundits went for the Rams: Cornerback. But Farmer didn’t pick one of the several others connected to the Rams. He tabbed Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison with the No. 26 overall pick.”

1 WR the Rams could target each day of the 2025 NFL Draft (sports.yahoo.com)
“They could ignore it until the later rounds or entirely because of their current depth with Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington. All four are solid pass-catchers, and the Rams could add more in free agency for little money.
However, the Rams could also add at least one more in the draft to learn behind Nacua and Adams and develop into at least the teams’ third option if Atwell leaves in 2026 and Whittington doesn’t develop. L.A. could target a receiver as early as the first round too.
While this draft class isn’t as deep as years past, the 2025 crop of pass-catchers has a few that could help the Rams in 2025.”

Top Takeaways from Rams VP of Football & Business Administration Tony Pastoors at Annual League Meeting: Matthew Stafford’s contract adjustment, impact of Cooper Kupp’s release on salary cap (therams.com)
“The Rams agreed to terms with their QB1 on a contract adjustment on Feb. 28, or 12 days before the start of free agency. NFL Network’s Ian Rappoport that same day reported that adjustment would be finalized “over the next few weeks,” and according to Pastoors, “it will be done soon.”
Pastoors indicated that at this point, it’s just working through the language in the contract with Stafford’s representation.
“We feel good about it, he feels good about it,” said Pastoors, who declined to specify the terms. “We’re just working through paperwork right now.”
