The annual league meeting is underway, and a new rule regarding alternative uniforms has already been approved.
The NFL annual meeting is underway, and team owners, GMs, and head coaches have all come together to seemingly complain about different league rules. While most of the proposals are regarding in-game play, one of the early votes that passed was teams being allowed to wear alternate uniforms four times in a season — up from three times.
Broncos president Damani Leech said NFL teams will now be able to wear alternate or throwback uniforms four times this season rather than three. Vote passed today

The Eagles set the stage for this years ago when they finally got the league to approve an extra helmet, allowing them to officially bring back the kelly green beauties. It has to be one of the more popular moves that Jeffrey Lurie has ever made, and the results were magical. So many of the team’s most iconic moments the past couple of seasons have been when the Eagles are wearing the throwbacks.

Since the return of the kelly greens, the fans have doubled down on their love of the hue, too. At the game I attended in Cincinnati, Bengals fans audibly couldn’t believe how many Eagles fans were in kelly green over midnight green.
For the rest of the NFL, allowing the alternates to be worn more often is likely a money grab — a way to sell more merchandise with a different color. But for the Eagles, getting to wear these beloved colors twice as often, means more chances to channel the greatness connected to them.
Of course, the Eagles could also do two kelly green games and two all-black uniform games now.
