Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 3/29/25
The NFL Draft “news” continues to spike as we get closer and closer to that exciting day/time, and let’s say that Les Snead drafts poorly, should he be given some slack? Snead has had some poor picks in the past (Greg Robinson certainly comes to mind) but it takes a team to make a decision, so not every pick is all on Snead, but he is the face, and he’s made some great picks too.
Has Snead built up enough good will if the upcoming draft doesn’t go as well as say the last two? I think so, but who cares what I think? We’d rather hear from you!
Honestly, maybe I should do a whole article on this, but it came to my mind as a Random Ramsdom so I’m going with it. Doesn’t mean we can’t flesh it out more later! Maybe some comments and engagement could give even more ideas on this topic.
Happy Saturday, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great weekend!
Rams take a big risk to improve their roster in a new 2025 NFL mock draft but it has the potential for a massive payoff (atozsports)
“The Los Angeles Rams aren’t ready for a rebuild just yet. They were able to retain Matthew Stafford this offseason despite teams across the league having trade interest in the veteran quarterback.
Now, they head into the 2025 NFL Draft, intending to optimize their current roster and try to cash in while their contending window remains open. In a new A to Z Sports 2025 NFL mock draft, the Rams take a big risk on a prospect, but it has the potential for a massive payoff.”

Los Angeles Rams Address Glaring Need With Eerily Similar Pick In New 7 Round Mock Draft (labfnetwork)
“Of course, this pick should catch fans’ attention since it attempts to address the team’s biggest need, inside linebacker. But upon further examination, Knight is eerily similar to Ernest Jones — the former Rams linebacker who was unceremoniously traded before the 2024 season, creating a vacuous hole in the middle of the defense that Knight would be trying to fill.
How are these two similar? Well, for starters, they are nearly the exact same size and stature. Both are 6 foot 2, weighing in at 235 pounds. The two linebackers’ age is strangely only separated by about 45 days, and both are named after their fathers. They are both Georgia natives and both played for the South Carolina Game Cocks. To continue the similarities, the Rams drafted Jones in the 3rd Round with overall pick No. 103, two spots back from where Miller expects the Rams to take Knight.”

Rams met with Nebraska TE Thomas Fidone II, a potential Day 3 target for LA (ramswire)
“Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II is one player who could be a Day 3 fit for the Rams, given the interest they’re showing in him. According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, Rams executive Marty Barrett met with Fidone on Tuesday before the Cornhuskers pro day on Wednesday.
Fidone is a sleeper in what is turning out to be a solid tight end class. He looked good catching the ball in drills Tuesday after combine testing numbers that would be characterized anywhere from good to outstanding. Fidone met with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday evening and met extensively with the Vikings as well as Rams senior personnel executive Marty Barrett on Tuesday. He has an official-30 visit lined up with the New Orleans Saints and an individual workout scheduled with the Buffalo Bills.”
