If nothing else, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is a polarizing figure. Some Dolphins fans would trade him for a piece of lint from your dryer, while others would sooner trade their own mother before letting Hill go. Hill has, at times, seemed like the entirety of the Dolphin’s offense with his dynamic speed, which always seems to keep opposing defenses on their heels. Then there is the list of “issues” he has had before and since arriving in Miami.
This post isn’t about his off-field history; instead, it focuses on the incident when he removed himself from the last game of the previous season, stating, “I’m out” after the game and the laundry list of speculation that it continues to fuel. While Hill and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, seem to have smoothed things over with the Miami Dolphins front office, the speculation that he will be traded this offseason could not be much higher. While there is speculation that he will be traded, no team is listed to have actually inquired about him.
Most of the stories seem to be from writers lacking other topics to cover. As far as I can tell, these stories do not appear to be based on any actual rumors or facts. Instead, they all seem to stem from speculation framed as predictions. One of these stories has the Dallas Cowboys trading their second and third-round picks for Hill. Another story is that the Green Bay Packers could CB Jaire Alexander, WR Romeo Doubs, and the 198th overall pick to Miami for HIll and their 224th overall pick. Another story lists the Los Angeles Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Commanders, and most surprisingly, the Buffalo Bills. I, for one, cannot see a world in which the Dolphins send Hill to the Bills unless they return just an asinine level of compensation.
So tonight’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is: Should our Miami Dolphins trade Tyreek Hill this offseason, and if so or not, why?
