Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 3/21/25
You can read JB Scott’s takeaways from the Los Angeles Rams offseason so far, and I think it’s a fair article as nothing is perfect and there’s always more to do, but the Rams have made some really good moves since their season ended. They still have the draft ahead of them and who knows what else may happen between now and the start of the playing season?
Generally speaking, I think many would say that L.A. has had a nice offseason. They signed Davante Adams, they are rolling with Matthew Stafford again and the rest of the NFC West could take a step back, but that’s to be determined.
Are there any moves the Rams haven’t made that you’d like to see? Please comment on whatever you want, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Friday!
Ten best moves of the 2025 NFL offseason so far: Bears, Bengals, Rams among teams trending up (nfl.com)
“3) Los Angeles Rams sign Davante Adams. The Rams couldn’t have played this one any better. They started the offseason by shopping wide receiver Cooper Kupp, a franchise favorite who had become too expensive for a player plagued by injuries in recent years. Before they could even attract an interested party, they found Adams looking for his own new home after the Jets released him. It’s always fair to be concerned about what you’re going to get from a 32-year-old wide receiver, especially considering Kupp was struggling to stay on the field at age 31. However, Adams has produced five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons (Kupp hasn’t reached that mark since 2021), and he’s only missed three games in the last three years (compared to 18 for Kupp). This was simply a case of the Rams upgrading a position at a time when they feel like viable championship contenders again. They worked out a deal to keep Matthew Stafford under center. Now they’re adding Adams to a team that already has a Pro Bowl-caliber receiver in Puka Nacua, an underrated running back in Kyren Williams and a defense flush with young, athletic playmakers up front. Adams spent the last few years playing for teams going nowhere in Las Vegas and New York. He suddenly has the chance to be the missing piece for a Los Angeles team that nearly beat the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round.”

New Los Angeles Rams CB Names WR He Is Now Excited To Compete Against (lafbnetwork)
“I think for me personally, it’s the first moment where I get overly excited, where I’m not really inside of myself when I see them sign a guy like Davante Adams,” he said, “because that’s the joy and the passion for me is being able to compete against somebody like that on a daily basis and take that training to go to play on game day and it be much calmer and much simpler because I’ve had elite reps against guys like Davante and Puka (Nacua) – Coop when he was here.”

Does Ahkello Witherspoon’s Return Mean Anything for Rams Draft? (si.com)
“In 2024, he played 13 games and had 31 total tackles, with one interception and nine passes defended. Keeping him on the team for another year bodes well for their depth and continuity, as this will be his third year with the team.
They may have resigned him, but they’ve also brought in new talent to the defensive side of the ball, such as Poona Ford and Nathan Landman. Though their secondary could benefit from a certified star, their defense is already ascending due to their young talent.”
