Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 3/20/25
Jared Verse received a letter from a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles prior to his game against them in the playoffs, and Verse has joked that he wishes he’d have read the letter before the game.
Verse gave some bulletin board material when he was talking about how much he didn’t love the Philly fanbase prior to the Los Angeles Rams and Eagles divisional game, and I choose to think it was in fun as seemingly most of the Philly fans played into it, but also praised Verse for his play. That’s my perception.
This letter that Verse had received may have made had him sing a different tune prior to the contest. You can check out the letter below and it’s very flattering towards young Verse.
Jared Verse got a super nice letter from an Eagles fan back in November after he saw a simple act of kindness from Verse on the sideline

Rams’ Jared Verse Had Priceless Reaction to Eagles Fan Writing Him a Super Nice Letter (si.com)
“The letter read: “Hello from a Philadelphia Eagles Fan! And a 66-year-old one at that. I was watching the Eagles-Rams game and saw you help up a knocked over cameraman. Really help him and then made sure he was O.K. I’ve watched way too much football in my day and that’s very atypical!”
“So I thought ‘who is this guy?’ and watched your play the rest of the game. No news to you buy you are an AMAZING player and I wish we had you in Philly,” the Eagles fan continued. “Later on I saw you flatted 350 lb Jordan Mailata on the Eagles OL. Went on Wikipedia and saw your background. Impressive. So, Merry Christmas and wishing you and the Rams well—hope to see you in the playoffs. Good luck and good health. I’ll be following you from now on.”
Verse posted the letter to his Instagram story and wrote: “Guess I should have opened this before the game … Hope you still a fan” with a heart emoji.
The Eagles got the best of the Rams in the playoffs and went on to win the Super Bowl, but Verse might have to change his tune about the fan base after receiving that nice of a letter from the unnamed fan.”

Rams bringing back CB Ahkello Witherspoon with another 1-year contract (ramswire)
“It’s the third straight offseason they’ve signed Witherspoon to a one-year contract, keeping him in Los Angeles as a key member of the secondary. By the end of last season, Witherspoon was the Rams’ top cornerback, playing 98% of the snaps in the team’s playoff loss to the Eagles.
Witherspoon, who turns 30 on March 21, brings experience and talent to the cornerback position for Los Angeles. He’s spent the last two years in the Rams’ system, making 22 starts and picking off four passes with 23 total passes defensed.”

Cooper Kupp didn’t get “a ton of clarity” from the Rams about the decision to move on (nbcsports)
“It’s been difficult,” Kupp told reporters during his introductory press conference with the Seahawks. “In all honesty, it’s been very difficult and frustrating and there’s been lots of questions. It’s a real tough situation. I’ve said, I’ve always imagined that I’d finish my career there, but that’s not what the plan was that God had for me and my family.”
He was asked if the Rams explained their decision to cut the cord on Kupp’s career in L.A.
“I’m sure they have their reasons for why they want to do things, whatever it is,” Kupp said. “Not a ton of clarity in that regard. But at the end of the day, I’m thankful to be able to walk away from that organization and be able to look back on all those memories, all those experiences, all those things that we were able to go through together and the relationships that we had with so many people there and look at it in a positive light and be very thankful for my time in Los Angeles.”
