Netflix is bringing back Quarterback for a second season, and this time it’ll be a must-watch for Detroit Lions fans: QB Jared Goff is one of three players whose 2024 seasons will be featured. The show provides behind-the-scenes looks into both the personal and professional lives of its stars.
In its first season, the show followed Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins, and Atlanta Falcons QB Marcus Mariota. This year, it’ll star Goff, Cousins (again, but in Atlanta), and Bengals QB Joe Burrow.
Lions fans should be somewhat familiar with the Netflix series—its sister series, receiver, featured Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown in 2024 and gave us a closer look at the ups and downs of the season and a glimpse into how he balances the NFL with his family life.
This year, we’ll likely see lots of Goff and his wife Christen Harper as they navigate the best regular season of Goff’s career and a devastating playoff loss, a moment many Lions fans probably won’t want to relive—it was similarly gut-wrenching to watch St. Brown profiled in the 2024 NFC Championship loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Goff finished the 2024 season with 4,629 yards and 37 passing touchdowns, leading the Lions to a 15-2 record and a divisional round playoff exit. Goff was a strong MVP candidate down the stretch, but ultimately scored fifth in the voting. We’ll see the behind-the-scenes of that and much more as the rest of the NFL continues to see more of the Detroit Lions.
