Could Spain’s first NFL game feature the Cincinnati Bengals? It just might.
The Cincinnati Bengals have become a fan-favorite team for many around the world over the last several seasons. While it wasn’t always like this, the Joe Burrow effect is real, and his popularity stretches beyond the United States of America.
That said, the Bengals could be looking at the first NFL game in Spain this upcoming season, and they could be facing the Miami Dolphins overseas. Miami is a team with a strong global presence as well, especially with Tyreek Hill on the roster.
Burrow caught wind of the rumor it could be Cincy – Miami, and it sounds like he’s game for a trip to Madrid.

With the Bengals having inked Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to long-term deals, they will at least be fun to watch on the offensive end, although their defense has some big improvements to do before they can contend for a Super Bowl.
Nonetheless, they will undoubtedly be a team other countries will want to see, and Spain may get it first.
The Bengals aren’t typically a team that plays overseas, their last such game being in 2019 vs. the Rams in London, so this might be an exciting development for Cincinnati fans and those in Spain to see their team cross the Atlantic for a game. Fans should know soon enough whether or not this is real breaking news or not.
For what it’s worth CBS Sports’ John Breech is predicting the Bengals or Washington Commanders to be Miami’s opponent in Madrid.
