Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 3/17/25
Would Chris Shula want to add C.J. Mosley to his side of the ball? Since the Los Angeles Rams released Ernest Jones before the start of last season, I haven’t known what the team wants to do at the position. Mosley would be a veteran presence, but that may not matter to the Rams.
Maybe Les Snead already has some players in the mind to be drafted? I don’t know, and it will be interesting for the second season in a row as L.A. looks to find the best combination of linebackers.
Happy Monday, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great day!
Rams predicted to land 5-time Pro Bowler after his release (ramswire)
“As such, there are still some huge holes across the roster. While the draft is a good place to fill them, L.A. could also snag a few unsigned free agents that have slipped through the cracks of the first week of free agency. One of those players is ex-New York Jets inside linebacker C.J. Mosley. Cory Woodroof of For The Win predicts the Rams will land Mosley, who is a five-time Pro Bowler.”

Latest Move From Rams’ Rival 49ers Is a Shocking One (si.com)
“The 49ers are dealing with several issues inflicting their current running back room and considering the perceived strength of the class, it would appear that the team wants to reinforce the main way they attack opposing defenses.
Christian McCaffery has a long history of health issues, issues that caused him to miss most of 2024 and in the four games he played in, he was not effective. To make matters worse, Isaac Guerendo ended his season suffering a knee injury and while he’s expected to be ready to roll once training camp begins, the team has suffered more running back injuries than it seems any other team in the NFL does.”
“I was determined to establish myself down the road.”

New Rams 7-round mock draft starts defense-heavy (ramswire)
“As of this writing, the Los Angeles Rams have eight picks in the 2025 NFL Draft — four of which are in the sixth round.
With a little more than a month before the first round, the Rams’ roster needs remain the same: linebacker, cornerback, defensive line and receiver all lack depth and should all be targets for general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay.
A new seven-round mock draft from Pro Football Network’s Jacob Infante solved the Rams’ biggest issues with the team’s first three picks. Infante went defense with the Rams’ Nos. 26, 90 and 101 to shore up the holes in Chris Shula’s defense.”
