Offseason moves are already being made, and several players were sure to give love to Eagles fans before their exit.
With the official start of free agency on Wednesday, many players from the Super Bowl winning team are heading elsewhere throughout the league. As their time in Philly comes to an end, they have been sure to send love to Eagles fans who embraced and supported them for the past year.
It’s never easy to see guys leave, but it’s nice to know there’s no ill will and that their time in Philly was as special for them as it was for us.
Here are some of the farewell messages from the now former Eagles:
Mekhi Becton
It was always love for Mekhi Becton in Philly, and he was sure to return it in his farewell letters to the team after signing a new contract with the Chargers.
“And to the City of Philadelphia, Thank you. The passion, the energy, the support – it’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Playing in front of you was an honor, and I’ll always carry a piece of Philly with me.”

C.J. Gardner-Johnson
One of the biggest surprises so far by the Eagles ahead of free agency was trading C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Texans. The DB hopped on a stream shortly after the news and alluded to the fact that he at least had a heads up about the situation and confirmed there’s no bad blood with the Eagles organization.
He had a lot of kind things to say and insights to share with Eagles fans as he wrapped up his second stop in Philly.
“To the Philly Faithful — you’re unmatched. You embraced my edge and fire, for this game even when I got too hot.”

Kenny Pickett
Another trade the Eagles made early in the offseason was sending QB Kenny Pickett to Cleveland. It gives the quarterback a chance to compete for the starting role, but he was sure to capture how special the 2024 season in Philly was for him.
“Thank you to the great fans of Philadelphia, my childhood dream came true this season and playing in front of you was an honor!!”

Isaiah Rodgers
Many Eagles fans wanted Isaiah Rodgers to return in 2025, but he earned a big paycheck and followed a different path — to Minnesota. Still, Rodgers acknowledged how Philly lifted him up when he was down and out and how much love he has for everyone.
“I have genuinely never had more fun playing this game. It was a very difficult decision to leave, but I will always remember all the love and support you showed me and my family.”

Milton Williams
One player the Eagles would have liked to keep but pretty much knew wasn’t an option was DT Milton Williams — seemed obvious when he was wearing a sweatshirt with his agency on it during locker room cleanout day. Still, he was sure to send his love to Eagles fans before starting his next chapter in New England.
“To the fans, you have made walking onto the field each and every game day, exciting and worth every moment! I gave it all I had for you, and I’m so thankful we brought the Lombardi home to Philly.”
