Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
Sources: UAB losing staffer to NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles – Football Scoop
Cole Peterson’s rapid rise in football is set to continue. Sources tell FootballScoop that Peterson is joining the Philadelphia Eagles, where he will assistant to head coach Nick Sirianni. Peterson’s been UAB’s executive director of football operations. But his ascent in key off-the-field roles has been a rapid one. At the time the youngest director of player personnel at Youngstown State just a few years ago, Peterson then landed at Indiana a top personnel role before accepting the executive director spot under Trent Dilfer at UAB.
Meet The Staff: Executive Director of Football Operations Cole Peterson – UAB
”I believe one of the most important hires a coach can make is the person running the day-to-day operations of the program,” Head Coach Trent Dilfer said. “That is why I am so excited that Cole Peterson has joined our illustrious staff. Cole is wise beyond his years and we are beyond fired up for him to be the Executive Director of Football Operations. Cole began his journey as a 19-year old student operations director and has crushed this job at each one of his stops. His reputation amongst the CFB community is elite due to his excellent football operations acumen as well as possessing rare people skills. Cole is yet another example of an A+ human and A+ football guy that has joined Blazer football.”
Trent Dilfer loved having Cole Peterson on staff as chief of staff / executive director of football operations. I suspect Nick Sirianni will enjoy this hire. Hard working young man. https://t.co/E7yTaYzBSM

NFL Mock Draft 2025: Eagles 7-round simulation, Version 2.0 – BGN
Round 1, Pick 32 (for the Super Bowl Winner): Emeka Egbuka, Wide Receiver, Ohio State. Okay yeah yeah I know but HEAR ME OUT… This would be sick. Seriously, the third wide receiver position has been a hole the last few years and getting a player of this caliber in there would be a massive boost to the passing game. The Eagles postseason dominance papered over how anemic the passing game was at times last year and getting more weapons for Jalen Hurts would change that. Imagine a passing game that really punishes teams for keying in on AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.
New RB A.J. Dillon eager to run behind Eagles offensive line, pair up with Saquon Barkley – PE.com
“If you’re a football fan, you know about the Eagles’ offensive line.” In his first press conference as an Eagle, A.J. Dillon shared his excitement for getting to run behind one of the league’s top units. Dillon signed a one-year contract with the Eagles on Friday after spending the last five seasons with the Packers. “I’m excited for the opportunity the Eagles have given me and I’m excited to be here,” Dillon said while meeting with reporters virtually at the NovaCare Complex on Friday. “I know Philadelphia fans are awesome, so I’m just excited to get the full experience and help this team win however I can.” The 26-year-old touched the ball 597 times for 2,428 yards and 16 touchdowns during his time in Green Bay.
Washington Commanders Free Agency: DE Clelin Ferrell re-signed to 1-year deal – Hogs Haven
There have been multiple reports that 27-year-old DE Clelin Ferrell will be returning to the Commanders on a 1-year contract. The value of the deal has not yet been disclosed, but Ferrell signed with the Commanders last year on a one-year deal worth $3.75m. Critiques of Ferrell’s play in 2024 were mixed, but he has a reputation as more of a run-stopper than a pass-rusher.
Cowboys free agency: Dallas signing wide receiver Parris Campbell – Blogging The Boys
Campbell is fresh off a World Championship as a member of the Cowboys’ rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. Campbell started off his career with the Colts for four years before joining the Giants, then the Eagles. Campbell had one big year in 2022 when he had 63 catches for 623 yards and three touchdowns. He only played in five games for the Eagles last year, spending time on the practice squad and being inactive. The Cowboys keep adding depth players in free agency for the most part, but it does feel like a pretty big roster turnover is coming with Brian Schottenheimer and the coaching staff getting their type of players.
It’s time for the Giants to sign Russell Wilson and be done with the Aaron Rodgers nonsense – Big Blue View
Perhaps the time has come for the New York Giants to stop fooling themselves in their desperate pursuit of Aaron Rodgers, get Russell Wilson’s name on a contract and be done with their seemingly flailing effort to sign a veteran quarterback. If, that is, the Giants haven’t already blown that opportunity be letting Wilson leave their building on Friday without signing a contract. It’s time for GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll to be realistic.
Breakdown of QB Kenny Pickett’s contract with the Browns – Dawgs By Nature
When you put it like that, Pickett than adds $1.764 million to the cap than DTR would have accounted for. It became pretty apparent that DTR did not look like an NFL-caliber quarterback for regular season action with his arm. Pickett, a former first-round pick, was very pedestrian in two years with Pittsburgh. As a backup to Philly last year, he showed a little more in very limited action. It’s not a bad gamble to see if Kevin Stefanski, who has gotten a lot out of guys like Jacoby Brissett and Joe Flacco, can work some magic with Pickett. If Pickett is a backup, he comes as a reasonable, cheap option for the 2025 campaign. If he is Plan A as the starter? Ehhhhh, that’s going to take an “out of no where” stunner like Sam Darnold’s 2024 season with the Vikings to win the fanbase over, but stranger things have happened.
Patriots sign safety Marcus Epps to reported one-year deal – Pats Pulpit
Selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft, Epps was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles midway through his rookie campaign and remained through Super Bowl LVII. The former No. 191 overall pick spent the past two years with the Las Vegas Raiders during the stays of head coaches Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce and served as a team captain. Epps has started his past 37 appearances. And since entering the league, he has totaled 3,282 snaps in the secondary as well as 858 snaps on special teams.
New Buccaneers OLB Haason Reddick ready to rebound from ‘very bizarre’ year with Jets – NFL.com
As he settles in with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after signing a one-year, $14 million contract, Reddick looks back at his short stint with the New York Jets as “very bizarre” and “weird,” and is ready to put the drama from this period of his career behind him. “It’s a fresh start,” Reddick said Friday in his introductory news conference. “I know everybody’s worried about last year, but last year was last year. I’m here now, different mindset, different space. I’m just ready to put the past behind me and continue to move forward. And what better place to do that than right here?”
The Vikings bring back a familiar face to bolster their linebacking corps – Daily Norseman
Wilson started his NFL career with the Vikings, signing with them as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati in 2017. He appeared in all 64 regular season games in his first tour with the Vikings, including getting 15 starts at linebacker in 2020. After that, he split the 2021 season between the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles before playing the past three seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Last season, Wilson was a core special teamer for Green Bay while also logging over 500 snaps on the defensive side of the ball. With Kamu Grugier-Hill a free agent, Wilson could fill a similar role with the Vikings behind Blake Cashman and Ivan Pace Jr. at the linebacker spot.
Bucs signing CB Kindle Vildor to 1-year deal – Bucs Nation
Vildor is entering his sixth NFL season after entering the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick of the Chicago Bears back in 2020. He played three seasons there before embarking on stints with the Titans, Eagles, and Lions during the 2023 season. Vildor settled in with the Lions, most recently playing the entire season with the team in 2024.
