With everything circulating around Hendrickson, he has made it clear he doesn’t want to leave.
Duke Tobin stated he has full intentions of attacking the needs on the Cincinnati Bengals roster this offseason.
So far… That has not happened.
The Bengals have brought in a few guys on the defensive side like TJ Slaton (underrated signing) and Oren Burks.
The front office has also brought back Mike Gesicki, BJ Hill, Joseph Ossai, Samaje Perine, Marco Wilson, and Cam Sample.
With that being said, the Bengals have not agreed on any long-term deals with Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase, or Trey Hendrickson.
Hendrickson is still in a unique situation with the Bengals allowing him to seek a trade but no team has offered what the front office is looking for.
Wednesday afternoon, Hill officially signed his extension and spoke on the Hendrickson situation, saying, “He wants to be in Cincinnati. I know for a fact.”
This comes less than a week after Hendrickson said this of Cincinnati: “There’s nowhere I’d rather be.”
The star defensive end has made it clear he wants to stay in Cincinnati with the Bengals, but we will see how this thing shakes out over the next few months.
