Less than a year ago, Ernest Jones was on the Rams. Now he’s signed with the Seahawks
Situations in the NFL can change fast, and that’s certainly been the case for Ernest Jones. A year ago, there was talk of whether or not the L.A. Rams would extend the linebacker, their third round pick in 2021, but Jones was surprisingly traded to the Tennessee Titans for almost nothing right before the season.
Jones was then traded to the Seattle Seahawks at the trade deadline for a fourth round pick and on Sunday, he signed a three-year, $33 million contract to stay with Seattle. The contract includes $15 million in guaranteed money.
Sources: LB Ernest Jones IV and the #Seahawks agreed to terms on a 3-year contract extension worth $33M with $15M guaranteed, keeping him with Seattle.

Should the Rams have re-signed Ernest Jones themselves?
He was certainly popular with fans and is one of the top run-stopping linebackers in the NFL. However, the Rams have consistently chosen to stay cheap at linebacker and seemed to want to avoid a contract with Jones like the $11 million AAV that he just got from Seattle.
Let us know what you think: Should the Rams have kept Ernest Jones?
