Braxton Berrios agrees to one-year deal with Texans.
The National Football League’s “legal tampering” period opened on Monday, and while the Miami Dolphins didn’t make much news, other teams around the league were busy agreeing to contracts with incoming players.
The Houston Texans were one of those teams, and amid their flurry of moves, former Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios was inked to a one-year deal worth $2 million according to various news outlets.
Berrios leaves Miami after two season — amassing 27 receptions for 238 yards and one receiving touchdown in 22 games played with the club. The 29-year-old was also the Dolphins primary kick and punt returner when healthy — averaging 11.3 yards per punt return and 24.6 yards per kickoff return. Return duties will presumably be turned over to wide receiver Malik Washington moving foward.
During his time in South Florida, Berrios earned a total of $4.2 million.
