The fan base is behind addition of new offensive coordinator
The Raider Nation is all in on Chip.
Making the most important hire on his staff, new Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll made move by hiring Chip Kelly away from college national champion Ohio State to be the franchise’s new offensive coordinator.
Shortly after the big hire, we asked our community members if they were in favor of the hire.
In a poll with 673 votes cast, 578 voters (86 percent) were in favor of Carroll bringing in former opposing head coach in both the college ranks and in the NFL to run his offense, while just 95 voters (14) thought Kelly is best suited as a college coach.
The overwhelming vote is not a big surprise. Kelly, who reportedly is the highest paid offensive coordinator in the NFL at $6 million a year, is known as a great play caller and the Raiders’ offense needs a major boost in leadership. Fans are clearly on board with this hire and think Kelly can help make a big difference for this offense in 2025.
