Nothing was going to keep the Eagles legend from playing in the Super Bowl, and nothing was going to sideline him, either.
It seemed like fate that Eagles’ longest tenured player, Brandon Graham, was able to return from season-ending surgery just in time to play in the Super Bowl. But now, it seems more like nothing was going to stop the defensive end from playing in that game — or to knock him out of it. Reports have been circulating that BG actually re-tore the same triceps during the Eagles big win over the Chiefs.
Derrick Gunn, legendary reporter and of course someone who is very close with Brandon Graham, just told us on @975TheFanatic that BG re-tore the same triceps that he injured during the season IN THE SUPER BOWL! Thank you for everything Brandon Graham

Graham told reporters he was done for the season after suffering the initial injury in Week 11, but did leave the possibility of returning open just a little if the team made it to the final game of the postseason. He wasn’t cleared to play in Super Bowl LIX until just days prior to the game, so he may have pushed himself a little too far, but he suited up and contributed to the victory.
BG has yet to address his future and whether he’s officially retiring this off-season, but he was at least able to finish the 2024 season on his terms — even if that means re-aggravating his triceps.
