Fans support a Mack reunion

Return of the Mack?

If many of our community members have anything to do with it, well, yes, please.

We recently asked our community members if they would like the Las Vegas Raiders to sign pass-rusher Khalil Mack in free agency. The poll wasn’t close.

In a poll with 1,101 votes cast, 741 voters (67 percent) would love to see the Raiders sign the current Los Angeles Chargers’ pass-rusher when he hits free agency for the first time in his career. Just 360 voters (33 percent) aren’t excited about a Mack part II run with the Silver and Black.

Mack, who just turned turns 34, has been a Raiders killer.

The Raiders, of course, drafted Mack with the No. 5 overall draft pick in 2014. He instantly became a star and he was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.

However, with new coach Jon Gruden in the fold in 2018, Mack sat out the offseason program and training camp in a contract dispute that got ugly and resulted in his shockingly being traded to the Chicago Bears a week before the season started.

Many Raiders’ fans still are hurt over Mack’s departure. It’s clear many feel it’s time he returns to the franchise.
