It’s the third year in a row
The grades are in for this year’s NFLPA Team Report Cards, and for the third straight year the way the Minnesota Vikings do business has put them among the NFL’s elite.
For the second season in a row, the Vikings claimed the #2 spot in the league in the annual player-based rankings. They took the top spot in the league in 2023 and have been runner-up to the Miami Dolphins in each of the past two seasons.
Here are the grades that the team received in each of the 11 categories on this year’s report card.
- Treatment of Families: A+
- Locker Room: A+
- Head Coach: A+
- Ownership: A+
- Training Staff: A
- Strength Coaches: A
- Team Travel: A
- Food/Dining Area: A-
- Training Room: A-
- Weight Room: A-
- Nutritionist/Dietician: B+
Clearly it’s time for the Vikings to fire their nutritional staff.*
The survey compiled data from over three-fourths of the league’s players. . .I guess participation wasn’t mandatory. . .and put them into this format just ahead of the start of free agency.
This is the third year that the league has done this list and, as mentioned earlier, the Vikings have been in the top two all three years. Don’t think that this sort of thing doesn’t matter to prospective free agents. . .I’m going to go out on a limb and guess the collection of talent that the front office brought in last offseason was very well aware of how the current members of the team view things like the coaching staff and the facilities that the Vikings have to offer.
Congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings on, once again, setting an example for other NFL teams to follow.
* – This is sarcasm. I absolutely do not mean this. I’m sure the nutritional staff for the Vikings is doing an outstanding job.
