The Packers have put the star cornerback on the trade block.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ defense struggled mightily last year.
There weren’t any stars on that side of the ball other than Trey Hendrickson.
If the team wants to add another high-potential player, presumably for a low price, they could engage with the Green Bay Packers on trade talks for two-time All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander.
Ian Rapoport reported today that Green Bay is open to trading the 28-year-old Alexander.
Sources: The #Packers have had trade conversations centered around star CB Jaire Alexander and they are open to moving him for the right price.

When healthy, Alexander is one of the very best corners in the game. He has 12 interceptions and 70 passes defended in his seven-year career. However, he’s missed 20 games the last two seasons, 19 due to injury (back, shoulder, knee). And he missed 13 games in 2021.
So what do you think? Is it worth giving up draft capital in hopes Alexander can stay healthy? And if so, what would you be willing to give up for a chance to see if Alexander can become what would likely be the Bengals’ best defensive back?
For what it’s worth, the Packers could use some help on the edge, and there’s a report that the Bengals could trade Trey Hendrickson if no contract extension is reached…
In other news, the Bengals are apparently working hard to keep Hendrickson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins in Cincinnati. But it’s not clear if they’ll be able to get all three done.
