Dolphins not expected to use franchise tag on Jevon Holland – The Splash Zone 2/20/25

Dolphins not expected to use franchise tag on Jevon Holland – The Splash Zone 2/20/25
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

The Miami Dolphins don’t have many candidates to use the franchise tag on, but safety Jevon Holland would have been one of them. It was reported the other day that the team would not use the tag on the young safety who is set to hit free agency in the coming weeks. Holland said he would love to be back in Miami but says all options are on the table. Can’t blame him for wanting to go get more money elsewhere but it’s getting frustrating watching young, talented players leave this organization year after year. If the Dolphins let Holland walk, they’ll have to find two new safeties with Jordan Poyer also set to hit free agency.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.
