Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 2/17/25

Puka Nacua took part in a video you can watch below. In the video NFL players are asked what their favorite jerseys in the league are? Some of the players simply name their own teams, but Nacua actually listed the Seattle Seahawks as his team with the best uniform and not the Los Angeles Rams.

Traitor! L.A. should move on and only allow players on the team who pick L.A.’s uniform as the best!

I kid, I kid. We like to have fun around here. Speaking of fun, happy Monday, have a great day, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and please comment on whatever you’d like!

Rams predicted to replace Matthew Stafford with unlikely Pro Bowl quarterback in free agency (sportingnews)

“The Los Angeles Rams seemingly have quarterback questions. Since the end of the divisional round matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, there has been question marks and uncertainty surrounding the future of Matthew Stafford in a Rams uniform. The quarterback himself said he still has good football in him, but his wife, Kelly, has hinted that change could be coming – both on her podcast and her Instagram.

Should the Rams decide to trade Stafford, they will have a hole at the most important position in sports. Nick Villano of FanSided says that the Rams could gill that void with a breakout star from 2024 – Sam Darnold.”

Could Rams Go After Free Agent Cornerback From Bitter Rival 49ers? (si.com)

“The next step for the Los Angeles Rams this off-season will be free agency. The NFL free agency period will kick off in March. That is when teams and players find out how much their teams value them and how much a player wants to go elsewhere. It is an exciting time for all NFL teams and fan bases. It gives them a little preview of what their respective team can look like next season.

For the Rams they do not have a lot of needs but they will have to address them if they want to be serious contenders next season and not just make the playoffs. The Rams will do everything necessary to make their team better on both sides of the ball. And this offseason the Rams have more flexibility to spend than they have in previous years.”

Here’s Another Reason Trading Stafford, Kupp Attractive to Rams (si.com)

“Sean McVay and his coaches haven’t attended the scouting combine in recent years. They may want to make an exception this year because the Rams currently own just six selections in April’s draft. The last time the Rams finished a draft with six-or-fewer choices was in 2016, the year before McVay’s arrival.

But trading Matthew Stafford would garner a haul of additional draft capital. That’s on top of what they could get for receiver Cooper Kupp. And while Adam Schefter said last week there’s “no way in hell” the Giants would give up their No. 3 overall selection for Stafford, plenty of other teams would listen.”
