Jalon Walker and Jonah Savaiinaea are the selections for Miami in rounds one and two of Kyle Crabbs’ latest mock draft.

With fans of professional football looking ahead to the upcoming free agency period and eventual 2025 NFL Draft, mock draft season is in full swing! Last week, Kyle Crabbs of Locked On Dolphins and The 33rd Team released his latest first round mock — with tight end Tyler Warren of Penn State being the pick for Miami.

This week, Crabbs has extended his mock by a round — picking players for all teams in both the first and second round of the draft. His first round selection for Miami has changed, and his second round pick has the team addressing a major need.

At pick number 13 in the first round, Crabbs has the Dolphins selecting University of Georgia pass rusher Jalon Walker. Here was his reasoning for the pick:

Miami is facing several big money decisions this offseason — including on the edge with veteran pass rusher Bradley Chubb. If Chubb, who is owed $19.45M in cash and on the books for approximately $29M in cap space in each of the next two seasons, is cut loose after missing all of 2024 while recovering from a knee injury, the Dolphins would be wise to draft Jalon Walker. Yes, this team has 2024 1st-round pick Chop Robinson and 2021 1st-round pick Jaelan Phillips on the depth chart, too. But Phillips has had each of his last two seasons cut short with an Achilles and an ACL & the Eagles just reminded everyone that there’s no such thing as too many good pass rushers. Walker is a talent that is perfectly tailored to play rush linebacker in Anthony Weaver’s simulated pressure & blitz rooted defense.

With Miami’s second selection — pick number 48 in the draft — Crabbs has the team addressing the offensive line. His selection was that of Jonah Savaiinaea of the Arizona Wildcats. Here was his explanation for the pick:

Miami’s interior OL is rightfully a much maligned group and Savaiinaea gives this unit some much needed punch and ability to reset the line of scrimmage.
