Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was named a finalist for the 2024 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award.
Hamlin was a finalist for the honor for a second-straight year. The NFL Honors ceremony ended up being taken over by Bills quarterback Josh Allen as he won the 2024 NFL MVP Award.
Despite many believing he was the favorite to take home the award once again, Hamlin did not.
In back-to-back years, quarterbacks ended up surprisingly edging out Hamlin after his return to Buffalo’s roster following his episode with cardiac arrest.
The voting process for the award is based on voters giving candidates a first place vote, second place, and so on.
