Brian Daboll’s son is moving on
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll will no longer have his son on the team’s coaching staff. Christian Daboll has reportedly decided to leave the staff to “pursue other avenues.”
Christian Daboll was an offensive assistant for the Giants for the past two seasons.
Prior to joining the Giants, Christian Daboll was a collegiate student coach for four seasons, the first at the University of Alabama and the last three at Penn State, where he was an offensive signal caller in 2022.
“Pursue other avenues” is a vague reason, perhaps meaning that the younger Daboll has decided to do something outside the coaching field.
The Giants have made some alterations to their defensive coaching staff, with Marquand Manuel and Jeff Burris replacing Jerome Henderson and Mike Treier as secondary coaches. They lost assistant quarterbacks coach Christian Jones to the Cleveland Browns. Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, though, will return after missing out on the New Orleans Saints’ head-coaching job.
