The Eagles really seemed destined for success on Sunday.
Th NFL is re-airing the mic’ed up version of the Super Bowl on Wednesday at 8 PM ET, and we’re already getting some new insight into A.J. Brown’s second touchdown.
After the WR ran into the endzone, the offense left the field and Jalen Hurts couldn’t believe the play worked, noting they were in the wrong formation. QB coach Doug Nussmeier sat next to Hurts on the bench and explained that the tight ends lined up on the left side when they should’ve been on the right, and gave credit to the quarterback for still finding Brown.
Wrong side, no problem ♂️
Hurts and Brown’s inner excellence kept them on the same page even without the right formation

And, as they often do, the sideline helped Brown celebrate the feat with a little dose of “Inner Excellence”.
It’s interesting that Brown’s touchdown wasn’t schemed up that way, but on Sunday, it seemed like anything the Eagles tried to do would work. Plus, Jalen Hurts has a way of making plays even when it’s not going according to script.
