With the 2024-2025 NFL season behind us, we can now look forward to the 2025-2026 season. First comes the combine, scheduled from February 24 to March 3. The “legal tampering” period begins on March 10, and the league year and free agency officially start on March 12. This date also marks when teams can begin trading players already under contract. From this period until the end of April, teams will work through and manage their pre-draft process and various pro days leading up to the actual NFL draft on April 24, 25, and 26.
This year, the Miami Dolphins have the 13th overall pick, giving them a chance at an outstanding player in the first half of the first round, assuming they choose wisely and do not make one of their famous “reaches” based on some perceived future potential. But do you want to see the team do that? They will also have the opportunity with 10 picks to trade up, and indeed, teams will be looking to trade up.
