Good morning New York Giants fans!

Saquon Barkley’s Super Bowl run caps agonizing year for Giants and their fans | The Athletic

Thankful probably isn’t a word most Giants fans are using this Monday morning, unless it’s to suggest how thankful they are this season — the season of Saquon — is finally, mercifully over.

And if Giants general manager Joe Schoen wants to stop spinning his wheels in trying to close the talent gap between the Giants and the Eagles, which right now is wider than the Grand Canyon, there is one area in particular where Schoen and the Giants really need to start having more success.

The NFL draft.

Brian Daboll: Why NY Giants head coach faces his career crossroads | The Record

Three years in, with a 19-33-1 record, including playoffs, the proverbial clock hanging outside the building at 1925 Giants Drive – one those inside refuse to acknowledge – is ticking.

Daboll must deliver on everything that got him to this point in the first place. Give his players reason to believe not just in the process, but in his belief that they can finish games.

2025 NFL Season: One Bold Prediction for Every Team | SI.com

The Giants will pair a quarterback in one of the first two rounds with an established veteran. I think the Giants’ starting quarterback this coming Week 1 will be aged 27 or older. Brian Daboll understands the game and also knows that the quickest way toward erasing the ugliness of next season is to find himself a quarterback with some seasoning who can get the ball out on time and on location. What would I do? Use my extra fourth-round draft pick and see if I can pry Jake Browning out of Cincinnati, giving Cam Ward some time to sit in Year 1. Eventually, for Daboll to succeed, he’s going to need the dynamism of a running quarterback.

Early NFL Power Rankings 2025: How do Eagles, Chiefs stack up? | ESPN

31. New York Giants. Describe this offseason in three words: Get a quarterback. It’s the Giants’ No. 1 priority this offseason by a wide margin. They need to find a solution for both next season and the future. The draft, free agency, trade, everything is on the table, according to owner John Mara. Considering the plan all along was to get a quarterback in the draft if Daniel Jones didn’t pan out, it’s a good bet the Giants will land one of the draft’s top options with the third overall pick.

Ranking the Top NFL Free Agent and Draft QB Options for the New York Giants in 2025 | Bleacher Report

The top fit is Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who earned an impressive 8.3 grade (a mark in range of being an immediate impact prospect) from B/R quarterback scout Dame Parson. Parson believes Ward already has all the tools necessary to become a Pro Bowler at the next level, saying:

“Ward is among the most gifted throwers in the NFL draft class. The combination of arm talent, mobility/athleticism, and accuracy is growing among NFL scouts…He has superstar potential if he can cut down on mistakes/risky decisions.”

Super Bowl buzz: Latest on NFL free agency, draft, coaches | ESPN

Russell Wilson loved his season in Pittsburgh and is open to returning but is taking a see-what-happens approach. Ex-Pete Carroll assistants believe Wilson could coexist with Carroll for the Raiders, too, having mended fences from their Seattle days.

But others around the league are skeptical of the pairing. Wilson has also been connected to the Giants by a few people this week. He visited with the Giants last free agency, and New York is on his radar as a potential option in 2025.

New York Giants: None. The Giants’ cap priorities lie in finding their franchise quarterback, whether that be via trade (Kirk Cousins), free agency (Sam Darnold) or the draft (Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders). That will likely require a significant cap investment, likely making a tag cost probative. Luckily, none of the Giants’ impending free agents warrant a franchise tag.

Plaxico Burress put his Super Bowl XLII ring up for auction | Pro Football Talk

Burress’s Super Bowl XLII has been put up for auction. Heritage Auctions has the offering. With 13 days to go, the current high bid sits at $67,500. Recently, the Super Bowl LI ring won by Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett went for more than $88,000.
