Put some respect on his name!
Plenty of doubters will have to re-evaluate their narrative this offseason now that Jalen Hurts has proven every single one of them wrong as the Super Bowl MVP!
For a quarterback who isn’t often included among the elite, he has now done something so many have yet to accomplish: Got a Super Bowl ring and was named MVP. He earned that title with an elite performance, going 17-of-22 for 221 yards and two passing touchdowns for a 119.7 QB rating, in addition to his 72 rushing yards and tush push TD.
This performance should silence all the haters.
He’s proven that he can throw the ball, he can run the ball, he can be a game manager, he can be a game changer, he can create explosive plays, he can limit turnovers, he can handle the blitz, he can win a freaking Super Bowl.
And the best thing is that Hurts will stay as humble and hungry as ever, because among all of those things that he does, at his core, he is someone who is called to play the game of football — and he does it better than nearly every other quarterback in the NFL.
