That could be the Giants’ path to getting the quarterback they want
The Tennessee Titans could be open to trading out of the No. 1 spot in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to reporting from ESPN’s Dan Graziano. That, of course, should get the attention of the quarterback-needy New York Giants, who own the No. 3 overall pick.
“There is still a long way to go until April’s draft and a lot of evaluations to make before then, but I’ve talked to multiple people who think the Titans could trade out of the top pick and look for their QB solution elsewhere,” Graziano wrote. “The thinking is that the Titans’ roster needs are so extensive that, unless they’re absolutely sold on one of the quarterbacks as a franchise-changer, they’re better off seeing what teams would be willing to offer for the pick.”
If the Giants have a clear preference for which quarterback they want in the draft, moving up to the top spot in the draft is, of course, the way to ensure they get the player they want. The quarterback options at that point are Cam Ward of Miami and Shedeur Sanders of Colorado.
According to the Jimmy Johnson trade chart, the Giants could get to the No. 1 pick by sending their first-, second- and third-round picks this year to Tennessee, or by sending the No. 3 pick this year, a 2025 third-round pick and a first-round pick in 2026 to the Titans.
