Well, have we got an opportunity for you!
The 2024 NFL season has been over for our Minnesota Vikings for a few weeks now, and though it was a lot of fun to watch, we think that the years to come will be even better. We’ve done our best to bring you the level of coverage of our favorite team that you’ve come to expect over the past 19 seasons, but we’re always looking to do better and do more.
That’s where you, potentially, come in.
We are looking for someone to join our team of writers here at Daily Norseman and help contribute to what, for many years, has been the standard for Vikings coverage around the internet. We would also like to give some fresh faces an opportunity to get into the spotlight, should they choose, so we are presenting a unique opportunity for you to do just that.
Starting now, and for the next week and a half, we want anyone who feels that they would like to be a part of our team to submit articles for us to look at. We will then look over the articles and decide who we would like to have join us on the site.
Now, I want to emphasize that this will be a paid position on the staff. That means that there will be a commitment on your part if you’re interested. The amount and expected contribution are things that we’ll discuss with whoever is chosen for the opportunity, but we will do our best to work with you and figure out the best way for you to contribute.
You can write your submission on any Vikings-related topic you’d like. We don’t want to limit you or your creativity in that regard.
If you are interested in entering, here’s what we’re asking you to do.
1) If you don’t already have a Daily Norseman account, please create one. You can do that by going to this link, creating a username and password, and putting in your e-mail address.
2) Once you’ve logged into your account, you will create a post in the FanPosts section of the site. You can find the FanPosts along the right-hand side of the site, or by going to this link here. After you’re in the right place, you’ll see a button on the left-hand side of the page that says “New FanPost.” Clicking that will take you to the story editor that you will put your story in.
3) When you are putting together a story for our contest, please add this verbiage at either the beginning or the end of your piece:
This story is an entry into The Daily Norseman’s contest for joining the writing staff.
4) Type up your story, post it to the site, and you are officially entered!
When the deadline for story submissions has passed, we will look over all of the stories and contact the person we would like to formally invite to join us.

The contest will officially start tomorrow, Feb. 5, and run through Feb. 15. That’s 10 full days for you to make your pitch for joining us here at the Daily Norseman.
