Could it happen?
Cooper Kupp is forever etched in to the memory of all Cincinnati Bengals fans for a painful reason. Kupp caught what would end up being the game-winning touchdown over Eli Apple in Super Bowl LVI.
Now, the Los Angeles Rams have said they will trade Kupp and the Bengals may have a need for a wide receiver if Tee Higgins leaves in free agency.
Per DraftKings, the Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers are the co-favorites to land Kupp this offseason. Both Cincinnati and Pittsburgh have +500 odds to trade for the former Triple Crown winner.
Kupp’s salary for 2025 is $20 million, with $5 million of that guaranteed. That could make the Bengals shy away from making the move, but Los Angeles has said they would be willing to take on some of his salary to facilitate a trade, potentially absorbing the $7.5 million roster bonus he’s due.
It is worth noting that Bengals head coach Zac Taylor worked with Kupp in his time with the Rams. Taylor was once the assistant receivers coach in LA under Sean McVay.
