Noah Lyles has sharp words for Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill following win at New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.
Gold-medal Olympian sprinter Noah Lyles continued his war of words with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill following his win in the 60m race at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix meet over the weekend.
After crossing the finish line, Lyles — the self proclaimed “fastest man in the world” — took the bib off of his back to reveal a message written underneath addressed to the NFL’s #1 ranked player in last year’s NFL Top 100 voting.
“Tyreek Could Never,” read the statement.
Following the race, Lyles spoke with Lewis Johnson of NBC and continued to take jabs at Hill. “When you’re ready to actually put some words down and you’re actually ready to race, see me. I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere, but all I know is, your football season’s over. You ain’t got no excuse now.”
A short time later, the man nicknamed The Cheetah responded on social media by saying, “Get a load of this guy.”

The two men have a history of calling each other out, with each challenging each other to a race following Lyles’ highly successful Paris Olympics campaign during the summer of 2024. However, no race has officially taken place between the two speedsters.
Hill may have other things on his mind, as he infamously indicated that he wanted to be traded from the Miami Dolphins following the team’s season ending loss to the New York Jets in Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season — a loss that kept the South Florida squad from making the NFL Playoffs.
Miami’s general manager Chris Grier has attempted to smooth things over since that day, saying that Hill never formally requested a trade with him.
While we may never officially know who would win in a race between Lyles and Hill, we will soon find out if The Cheetah will be sprinting away from the Dolphins and into the arms of another NFL franchise.
