In fact, it’s fun to speculate, so buckle up and get ready for plenty of rumors and tales surrounding the Super Bowl winning quarterback.
In the meantime, please comment on whatever you’d like. Have a great Saturday and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
There’s Talk Matthew Stafford Could Be Traded This Offseason (thespun.com)
“As of now, Stafford has a $49.6 million cap number for the 2025 season. The Rams could, in theory, save $27 million by trading him after June 1. Naturally, that sparked a ton of speculation around the league.
“This feels like the biggest QB domino of the offseason,” Gregg Rosenthal of NFL Daily said. “If Stafford is up for grabs he’s the most attractive QB available.”
ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky mentioned the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers as potential suitors for Stafford.”
Into the endzone!

Weighing the Rams’ options with Cooper Kupp: Pay cut, trade or release? (ramswire)
“Cooper Kupp is one of those players who’s near-impossible to picture wearing a different uniform. He’s been a staple of the Los Angeles Rams’ offense for the last eight years, climbing the franchise’s all-time leaderboard with 7,776 receiving yards – more than all but three players in team history.
As hard as it is to imagine, Kupp may have played his last game with the Rams. Though nothing has been decided yet, there’s a real possibility that the team will move on from the veteran receiver this offseason.
The primary reason? His production is no longer matching his cost.”
Sources: The #Jets made a run at adding Nick Caley as offensive coordinator — their top option. He let it be known he did not have interest in the job.
The expectation is that Tanner Engstrand will be named OC, per sources.
Remember on Caley: He works with Mike LaFleur.…

BREAKING: Rams TE Coach Nick Caley Will Not Leave for Jets OC Job (si.com)
“While Caley will not be heading to New York, there remains a likelihood Caley will leave for an OC job after completing an interview with Tampa Bay and having scheduled an interview with the Houston Texans.
There may be multiple reasons why Caley is no longer interested in the Jets OC job. One of the reasons that Connor Hughes alluded to was that the Jets essentially screwed over Rams OC Mike LaFleur. Despite public support from then head coach and personal friend Robert Saleh, LaFleur was forced out by either the Jets front office or ownership if not a mix of both if rumors are true.”
Insane catches, milestone touchdowns, the walk-off…

Random Ramsdom Fandom: My first 4 picks with highlights (By CDNGolfer on Jan 31, 2025)
“We all have opinions on positions of need and who best to fill them. I think we’re best served in this draft by filling in the blanks on the corners (just watch these two kids tackle!), then WR and if Rourke is still available, Stafford’s heir. Maybe!
I trust my eyes…

Should the Rams Draft TCU Wide Receiver Savion Williams? (By RamsRoll on Jan 31, 2025)
“It happens every year this time of year. It is the “offseason” and our thoughts and attention turn to Free Agency and the draft. In this FanPost I wish to concentrate on and profile TCU Wide Receiver Savion Williams as a player the Rams should consider drafting this year.
Puka Nacua and Jordan Whittington will be on the roster next year. No debating that. D.Robinson and Tutu Atwell are free agents and their status for next year is dubious at best. Hard to say about Kupp returning or the others for that matter. Thus unless the Rams sign Tee Higgins in free agency (I seriously doubt it) Wide Receiver is definitely a priority in the draft.
The first thing that jumps off the screen when you checkout Savion Williams’ player profile Savion Williams player profile is his size. He is 6’5” and weighs 225 lbs! With a 40 speed of 4.45 he is not a “burner,” but 4.45 is plenty fast enough.
At the present time he is “projected” to be drafted in the 60 to 80 range of the draft. I think that will change and that he will rise up boards. I don’t think however, that he will rise to the level of a pick worth #26.
Here is his highlights video from you tube for you checkout should you choose to do so.
Savion Williams Highlight Video
What does everyone think of Savion Williams? Is he the answer to the Rams’ need for a “true” #1 Outside X Wide Receiver? When would pick him in the draft? Would you trade up from 90 to pick him or would be willing to stand pat and risk that he slides to #90?
Thank you so much for any commentary you post. ROCK”
