Anthony Campanile and Josh Grizzard earned major promotions this week.
Two former Miami Dolphins coaches became first-time coordinators this week — and both are setting up shop in Florida. Anthony Campanile, who spent four seasons as Miami’s linebackers coach, was hired as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive coordinator, while Josh Grizzard, who worked as a quality control and wide receivers coach for the Dolphins, is taking over as offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
I was with coach Camp in Miami. One of the best coaches I’ve ever been around. Authentic, passionate and loves every player he comes in contact with. Jacksonville got a great one! https://t.co/evcvsi6n5E

Campanile, 42, a standout performer on HBO’s Hard Knocks, joined the Dolphins as part of Brian Flores’ staff in 2020. He became linebackers coach and run game coordinator for the Green Bay Packers after the 2023 season. The Packers ranked sixth in rushing defense last season, holding opponents to 103.2 yards per game.
Grizzard, 34, was a quality control coach at Duke for four years before joining Adam Gase’s staff as a quality control coach in 2017. Grizzard was Tampa Bay’s pass game coordinator last season and was promoted to offensive coordinator after Liam Coen accepted the Jaguars’ head coach opening.
While the coaching carousel is slowing down, a few Dolphins assistants remain in play. Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is still in the mix for the New Orleans Saints head coaching job, though reports suggest Kellen Moore is the favorite. Meanwhile, The Athletic’s Vic Tafus shared that quarterbacks coach Darrell Bevell is a top candidate for the Las Vegas Raiders’ offensive coordinator role.
