A funny Lions anecdote to help continue in your healing journey after the devastating loss a few weeks ago.
Detroit Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is pretty well known these days for being unafraid to ruffle some feathers.
I mean, his choice of fashion is one example.

But that spiciness is usually reserved for players on other teams. Joining the St. Brown Podcast, Lions running back Craig Reynolds shared a surprising fact — he hated Saint when they first met, and Saint hated him right back.
“He had the silver hair first of all, I thought that s*** was corny bro,” Reynolds says, recalling when he first saw St. Brown in his rookie season in 2021.
Reynolds said they were hyping St. Brown up in film sessions, but Reynolds wasn’t seeing the appeal.
“He was cocky, bro, I’m like, I think by the end of the season I might rumble him… and we play on the same side of the ball,” he said.
St. Brown then shared his first opinions of Reynolds, which were just as harsh. The two eventually bonded when they finally played in the same game well into the 2021 season against the Denver Broncos, commiserating at the sideline water cooler over yet another loss — that season ending with a 3-13-1 record.
The whole clip is fun and well worth the watch. You know the guys are close when they can talk crap about each other while laughing the entire time. While things in the Lion world still may look a little bleak, it’s still enjoyable to see how much the team likes one
And onto the rest of your notes.
- ‘Tis the season for position-by-position reviews. Detroit Football Network’s Justin Rogers tackles wide receivers today.
Plugging away on season review/look ahead, Detroit’s receivers are in a good place with St. Brown’s stead excellence and Jamo’s breakout. We look under the hood at the advanced metrics and ponder what’s next for the corps: https://t.co/EvJp0N89qH

- Lions superfan Megan connects with other fans to raise money all year for a hospice. Hitting 50K is no small feat. Lions fans are awesome.
It’s official. I hit my personal goal of raising $50,000 this season for Hospice of the EUP. My annual benefit, tailgates and raffles were a ton of work but so worth it.
Save the Date: July 12, 2025 for the Annual Yooperman’s Hospice Benefit
