Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 1/25/25
NFC and AFC Championship weekend is here! It’s may be the best Sunday in football. This will be the first Sunday in a while (not including their bye week and such) that the Los Angeles Rams will not be playing as they were eliminated last week by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Had the Rams won that contest, then they would’ve been hosting the Washington Commanders, but it was not to be.
So, who you are rooting for? The Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills?
The Eagles or the Commanders?
I have reasons to root for each team so I am torn. I am just hoping for some great games come Sunday.
Or maybe, which teams do you think will win on Sunday? Are there any particular players you want to see do well?
Please comment on whatever you’d like and have a great Saturday! Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
Former NFL Players Give Their Take on if Rams QB Stafford is a Hall of Famer (ktla.com)
“Now Stafford will have the offseason to think about whether he is going to come back and play another season in Los Angeles or will he retire. If Stafford retires, now the question by many will be if Stafford is a lock for the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“100 percent, Matthew Stafford is a Hall of Famer. I really think he is,” said former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel on The Herd. “And before I make the argument for it, I just want people to understand that currently there are only 26 quarterbacks in the Hall of Fame. Which I think makes his cases a little more difficult to get in. But the case I will make is this.”

Rams Star WR Flagged as Perfect Fit for Patriots (si.com)
“Kupp has been rumored to be a potential trade candidate this offseason. He could end up being a cut candidate as well depending on how the Los Angeles Rams view their future with him.
One New England insider, Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston, believes that Kupp would be a perfect target for the Patriots.
“So if it’s Kupp, great — that could be your Julian Edelman moving forward, because not only is he going to be able to operate between the numbers the way did against the Patriots in the middle of the season, but he’s going to be able to block too, which I think Josh McDaniels really values,” Perry said.”

The Los Angeles Rams Will Replace Matthew Stafford With Daniel Jones (twsn.net)
“After he was waived by the Giants and signed with the Minnesota Vikings, he has had time to sit on the bench and learn from an offensive-minded coach in Kevin O’Connell. This is what truly makes Jones ideal, as he will be able to be a plug-and-play for Sean McVay’s offensive scheme as O’Connell, who came from the Rams, runs a very similar system. If there is any place Jones can rebound, it’s the Rams, and Los Angeles can take the chance on Jones.”
